R+L Carrier Integration with Odoo

R+L Carriers is a privately owned American freight shipping company based in Wilmington, Ohio, which grew over the course of 50 years from one truck to a fleet of 21,000 tractors and trailers. They provide service in all 50 American states.

Pragmatic has developed a module – ‘R+L Carrier Shipping Method’ in Odoo to get the rate quote on the sales quotation level by passing the product details and partner details like

• Source Zip
• Country & City
• Destination Zip
• Country & City
• Number of product quantity
• Product weight
• Class
• Service, etc.

And to get the proper response, we need to pass the “Quote Type” with R+L request API Key. You can give the configuration for the same. Please find screenshot below.

After configuration of R+L Carrier, user can generate rate quote at sales quotation level. Steps to get the desired output are as follow:-

1. Sales -> Quotation
2. Click on Sales Order Line Product
3. Select the service for the shipping carrier like Residential Delivery, Liftgate Delivery, etc.
4. Click on the Calculate Button.
5. After generating the quote click on save button and will redirect to sales order form.
6. Select the shipping product in delivery method and add in quote and update the shipping price.

From the above screenshot, you can see how the data is fetched to work further with it. System simply gives you the Rate quote for the order.
